Kid Boogie Down is a family dance party and DJ company based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This page explains what information we collect when you use kidboogiedown.com, why we collect it, and what we do with it. We have tried to write it in plain language. If anything is unclear, email us at [email protected].
What we collect
Information you give us. When you fill out a form on this site, we collect what you type in:
- Check Your Date (booking inquiry): your name, email, phone (optional), event type, date, location, approximate guest count, the experience you are interested in, how you heard about us, and any notes you add. If you book for a school, library, festival, or organization, we also ask for the organization name.
- Contact form: your name, email, phone (optional), what your message is about, your organization and a link if relevant, and your message.
- Review form: your name, role, organization, email, your rating, your comments, and whether we may use your words in our marketing and how to credit you.
- Newsletter signup: your email address. We send a confirmation email and only add you to the list after you click the link in it.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our hosting provider records basic technical information such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages you visit, in server logs used for security and troubleshooting. Our cookie policy (linked below) lists the cookies this site uses and lets you change your choices.
How we use it
- To reply to your booking inquiry, question, or review, and to plan your event with you
- To send you the newsletter you signed up for (upcoming public events, party highlights, occasional offers), which you can leave at any time using the link in every email
- To display reviews on this site, only with the permission you gave us on the review form, and only in the way you allowed (for example, first name and organization, or anonymously)
- To keep the site running, secure, and improving
We do not sell your information. We do not share it with advertisers.
Where your information goes
Your form submissions and newsletter subscription are stored in our customer database, which runs on our own website hosting. Notifications and replies are sent through our Google Workspace email. The people who can see your information are the Kid Boogie Down owners and the web and marketing team that maintains this site for us.
